Meat is the flesh of mammals (e.g. beef, pork, lamb, venison) used as food, as distinguished from the flesh of birds and fish. There are many variations and cuts to tempt the meat eater.

Beef Stew with Guiness Gravy

This beef stew is more basic than some of the cookery book versions to make the most of the flavour of the beef and Guiness gravy. The picture shows the beef stew served with carrots, peas and mashed potato.
